Description
The project relates to a terrace of Grade II listed timber chalets (see Appendix A for details of listing) situated within the South Cliff Gardens, Scarborough (close to the Spa building and adjacent to the Clock Cafe). In March 2018 a retaining wall to the rear of the chalets failed which resulted in the upper section of wall collapsing and significantly damaging the beach chalets.
A Consultant is required to:
• Prepare and submit a planning application to rebuild the chalets.
• Design the replacement chalets on a like-for-like basis to those that were lost and procure a Principal Contractor to undertake the works.
• Undertake the role of Principal Designer under the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015.
