Description

Paradigm Housing Group ('Paradigm') is looking to appoint a professional, experienced and competent company in order to undertake ground level external inspection tree surveys on all trees on communal land within our operational area. This is to enable Paradigm to manage our tree portfolio in an effective manner and to reduce the risk of poor tree management and reactive works.

The surveys are required to enable us to manage identified risk recommendations for tree works and for further surveys to be undertaken on a three yearly cycle for three cycles (nine years).

The Paradigm operational area is divided into three; London, Wentworth and Chiltern areas. A survey was undertaken of the trees in the Chiltern area in 2010 and therefore an initial re-survey will be required for the Chiltern area. For the London and Wentworth areas this will be a completely new survey as no survey currently exists.

The survey should include; Site name, map number, tree number, species (common name), height, crown spread, stem diameter, age class, condition, comments, recommendations and priorities. An aluminium tree tag should be added to the main stem of all individual trees or the main stem of the most prominent tree in a group. All information relating to the tree tag identifier should be detailed on the schedule and updated as appropriate, the tag will act as a reference for visual inspections.
