Direct award of a contract for a period of 1 year + 1 year to enable the CCG to allow the ICP and system partners the time and opportunity to conduct a full review of future service requirements and operating models. Recognising its obligations and responsibilities under the NHS (Procurement Patient Choice and Competition)(No.2) Regulations 2013, the CCG has assessed the most appropriate route to awarding this contract, having regard to the necessity to secure continuity of these essential patient services and has concluded that the incumbent provider will assure the safest solution and being considered the only technically capable provider at this time.
