Description
The DVSA requires the provision of these services of Commercial Surveying to support the day
to day function of the Corporate Estates Team, who in turn carry all such work for the other
teams within Estates as necessary. The DVSA requires the work areas set out below to be
serviced; this work is functional, rather than advisory. The DVSA employs qualified surveyors
and does not require consultancy services. But due to property holding volumes, and the
disparate geographical location of the DVSA estate, it does need further resources to carry out
the functional delivery of these services:
- Acquisition and disposal of freehold and leasehold property
- Rent reviews
- Lease breaks and Lease expiry action
- Lease renewals
- Dilapidation negotiations and valuations
- Landlord and tenant issues including landlord consents, service charge management and
claims
- Rating services; management and appeals and payments
