Description

The works will take place at Fire Service Headquarters at 99 Vauxhall Road, Birmingham B7 4HW and will consist of the reconfiguration of the vacant space in the Fire Service Headquarters Reception area to provide a Security Office to replace the existing Security Office located by the HQ Bistro. It is anticipated the works will commence January 2020 and must be completed by the end of March 2020.

The works briefly comprise of minor strip-out and removal works as detailed. Form new walls to create new office; form new opening and provide new internal door and frame; form glazed screens fixed and sliding with one way privacy film; supply and fit worktops to create working space, minor electrical and mechanical alterations to the existing services and provide additional socket outlets and data points; supply and fit air conditioning system for room designed to cool and heat; Supply and install new CCTV system and making good the existing Security Office on completion.

To avoid disturbance to the HQ Reception staff, The Hub conference facility and visitors during the works, some of the works will need to be carried out of normal hours (17:00 PM to 7:00 AM) Monday - Friday and weekends Saturday and Sundays (8.00 am to 17:30 PM). Contractors will need to make allowances in their tender submission and provide details of how this will be programmed and managed.
