Description
Solihull Community Housing (SCH) is an Arms Length Management Organisation (ALMO) that was established in April 2004 to takeover the management of housing services on behalf of Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council (SMBC).
SCH's responsibilities include the management and maintenance of the Councils' housing stock which consists of approximately 10,500 properties, including houses, maisonettes, high rise and low rise flats, sheltered accommodation and community centres.
The Asset Management Team operates from an office and yard facility in Chelmsley Wood, Solihull which supports the delivery of their work. This facility is a registered waste transfer station.
Waste is brought into the yard from the Asset Management Direct Labour Organisation (DLO), Estate Management Team and Solihull Community Housing Contractors and includes but is not limited to, waste materials associated with building maintenance works, fly tipped waste and asbestos.
The service required under this contract will be in respect of:

? Roll on Roll Off Skips for:
o Mixed Construction Waste
o Scrap Metal
o Mattresses
? Enclosed Skips for:
o Glass
o Confidential Waste
o Asbestos
The works are of a responsive adhoc nature and therefore no guarantee of volume, value, duration or continuity of works can be given and no subsequent claims for loss of profit or earnings will be entertained.
The contract has an estimated annual value of between ?150,000 and ?200,000. Contract values and any Contract information are given in good faith and should not therefore be used as the basis of any calculation.
The Contract is due to commence on 1 November 2019 for a period of 3 years with an option to extend for a further three 12 month periods, subject to satisfactory performance and mutual agreement.
It is the Employer's intention to appoint one Contractor under this Contract.

Site Visit
Tenderers are welcome to attend an information site visit at the Chapelhouse Asset Management Hub, to see the site and the waste units. This site visit will be held on Wednesday 10th July at 1.30pm. All tenderers interested in attending the visit must register through the CSW-JETS Correspondence feature.
Social Value
