Description

The primary aim of the Intensive Family Support Service is to provide intensive support to approximately 150 families per year through a well-planned service which is able provide a quick and flexible response to families at the higher end of need around issues that are preventing those families from achieving improved outcomes. This will include help with parenting, life skills, employability, domestic abuse, housing, mental health, drug and alcohol problems and benefit dependency. The service will need to engage families through assertive working methods in a highly intensive package of support, undertake holistic, comprehensive family assessments making use of multi-agency information, develop and deliver a comprehensive plan alongside the family and work closely with partners to assist families to re-engage with mainstream services.
