Description

The University of Southampton is looking to contract for the supply, delivery, installation and service contract of a hydrolyser chlorination system for the Jubilee Swimming Pool, located at the University's Highfield Campus.

The system in question will be required to maintain our safe working levels of chlorination for the pool (our normal levels are at 0.80ppm) whilst working alongside the current system. This current system comprises of two Medium rate sand filters, one Hanovia UV system, Polyaluminum Chloride for Flocculant and Hydrochloric Acid for PH control.

Recently the University's chlorine bulk tank has become unusable due to a leak and also a leak in the surrounding bunding and as a result of this it has become necessary to manually fill up our chlorine day tank from barrels of sodium hypochlorite.

The University is, therefore, looking to replace this system with one that potentially removes completely the possibility of staff contact with the liquid chlorine. Instead replacing it with a safe substance and the liquid chlorine in a sealed container.

Please see the attached ITT (Invitation to Tender) for full details.

The University of Southampton (University) has a requirement to procure a swimming pool hydrolyser system.
The new system will provide the University with a tool to correct chlorination levels of the pool to be maintained working alongside the current system.

Under no circumstances whatsoever will the University of Southampton be liable for or pay any expenses or costs which may be incurred (whether directly or indirectly) by the tenderer in the preparation or submission of their tender proposal.

The University of Southampton is not bound to accept the lowest offer or any tender in full or in part.

In evaluating the tender, the University will seek the most economically advantageous offers in terms of the criteria listed below:
