Description

The Authority are considering procuring a piece of software that will deliver an initial operating capacity by December 2024 with a very high level of assurance to automate live field firing Range Danger Area trace production, assurance and authorisation, and automation of range documentation production. The software must be capable of providing the following:

- Be accessible to multiple users at any one time via unique log on details remotely.
- Have demonstrable proven accuracy
- Have levels of users with different user rights.
- Use Open Standard Map file mapping and satellite imagery with open standard shape file boundaries to enable automated confirmation of compliance.

Allow the user to plan and produce a digital safe operating range danger area trace and supporting documentation in accordance with set UK Defence Policies
- Allow the digital movement of range trace and documentation via a hierarchy of users to enable assurance and authorisation.
- Dedicated support services for change / updates when required.
- Have a supporting Train the Trainer and Distance Learning package to include a 'sand box' function.
- Pass the Defence Assurance and Information Security Cloud Security Principle Questionnaire.
- Have the ability to adapt the software to fit UK and UK Military use within 30 days, such as BNG, MOD Mapping, MOD Terminology and MOD range protocol (Ammunition, Weapons, Ranges, Documentation, Bookings). Specifics of adaptations will be defined during any follow-on ITT and subsequent contract review meetings.

Information requested: The Authority are looking to undertake early market engagement to understand the current state of the market, specifically the number of suppliers capable of meeting our requirements outlined above. If you are able to meet the above, please contact Army Commercial at the contact details above with commercially available details of your product along with evidence of accuracy , which should take the form of a testimonial from an organisation (preferred military) stating the number and level of accurate traces that have been produced and the number of non-compliant traces produced. Other forms of accuracy will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
