Description
The successful tenderer/s will be required to provide catering services at any 1 or more of the following schools:
- The Skinners' School;
- Tunbridge Wells Girls' Grammar School;
- The Judd School;
- Tunbridge Wells Grammar School for Boys.
Combined contract value = 1 100 000 GBP total annual sales.
The 4 schools are close to 1 another geographically and have decided to embark on a joint catering tender exercise. They all have the same contract catering provider currently and seek new ideas from bidders participating in this process.
The schools are looking to use their turnover to maximise investment from bidding catering contractors and seek innovative catering solutions that will benefit them individually and collectively.
Suppliers will be asked to bid for all schools, however each school will have the opportunity to award their contracts to the same or different suppliers (or to none of them), depending on the bid submissions.
The contract being tendered is for 3 years in duration from 1.9.2016 to 31.8.2019, with the option for a further two years, and will operate as a Guaranteed Performance Contract, with the successful Contractor offering the Schools a guaranteed return /cost per annum for the provision of catering services.
Sovereignty of the cash tariff is to remain with the Schools for the duration of this contract.
The School year is based on a calendar of 195 days. Five days are to be used for staff professional development (catering sometimes required) which means that School will be open to receive pupils for the legal minimum of 190 days.
Please be advised that this contract will be let on a 3 + 2 years basis.
