Description

ASC090 PROVISION OF AN EMPLOYER LIABILITY INSURANCE AND SUPPORT SERVICE
Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council ("The Council") invites tenders for the provision of an Employer Liability Insurance (ELI) and Support Service in order to provide a high standard of support to our eligible Service Users who use their Direct Payment to employ one or more Personal Assistants. This may be the first time these people have taken the role of employer and they need to be made aware of their legal responsibilities.

The successful Contractor will be required to support Service Users by setting up, renewing and administering annual Employer Liability Insurance policies, and by delivering appropriate legally based HR information, advice and guidance, appropriate training to ensure that their legal responsibilities as employers are met. Further details can be found in the Service Specification.

The Council has a maximum rate of £130 per policy for the service, and The
Council shall reject any bid(s) exceeding this limit.

The Contract will commence on 6 April 2021 and will continue until 5 April 2023, with an option to extend for 12 months from 5 April 2023 until 5 April 2024.
