Description

IWM wishes to appoint an experienced consultancy to work with us on the development and production of an Activity Plan which follows HLF guidance, is sustainable and responds to the needs and resources of the Museum and the ambitions of the project. The Plan will demonstrate comprehensively how the project will make a lasting difference to heritage, people and communities, and how it delivers HLF's key outcomes. We are looking for a consultancy that has considerable expertise in developing sector-leading HLF Activity Plans.

The project's capital works have already progressed to RIBA Stage 3. The Delivery Phase Activity Costs identified in IWM's first-round application to HLF, which define the scope of the Activity Plan, totalled £954,479 and comprised: the Second World War Partnership; new staff costs (all but one of whom are contract posts employed to work on the capital project until the Galleries and Learning Centre open); staff and volunteer training; and further consultation with our People's Forum, Holocaust survivor and stakeholder network, and Access Panel.

The appointed consultancy will receive support in developing the Activity Plan from IWM's Head of Partnerships, Second World War Partnership Officer, two Learning & Audience Advocates, and Development Officer.
