Description

The University is looking to partner with a dedicated student accommodation search engine supplier to help new and continuing students based at our Sunderland and London campuses seamlessly find, view, book and pay for accommodation in the private sector.

The search engine will advertise purpose built student accommodation properties in both Sunderland and London, and will be accessed via an integrated link from the University's website.
The search engine will have a global presence to allow international students to book accommodation before arriving in the UK.

The University will hold no responsibility / liability for the private accommodation providers advertised via the search engine and will seek assurances from the supplier that all the relevant H&S compliance requirements for each accommodation advertised on the site are in place.

The search engine will be provided at no cost to the University. In addition students will not incur additional booking charges by using the site.

Demand for private rented student accommodation in Sunderland was just under 1400 students (27% of students) as at the end of October 2020.
Demand for private rented student accommodation in London is estimated at 550 students (13% of students).
