Description

South Yorkshire Passenger Transport Executive (SYPTE) owns the Supertram infrastructure. South Yorkshire Supertram Ltd (SYSL) commenced operation in 1994 and SYPTE let a Concession to Stagecoach through SYSL to operate and maintain the Supertram system on its behalf in 1997. This Concession expires in 2024.
As part of the rerailing works undertaken by SYPTE it has become apparent that an accurate, non-subjective method of measuring permanent way geometry and rail wear across the whole network is required.
SYPTE is looking to procure a Graw TEP2.2 (or equivalent) digital rail measurement trolley.
