Description
Nottinghamshire County Council (the Council) is seeking tenders from suitably qualified Bidders to manage, co-ordinate and deliver a cost-effective Short Term Pet Care Management Service on behalf of the Council in Nottinghamshire.
The Council has a statutory obligation to arrange for the protection of property for an individual being cared for away from home. This includes the re-homing of pets if there is no one else such as family or friends who are willing to look after the pets. Currently, the Protection of Property/Pets and Funeral Arrangements team within the Council make arrangements for the pets to be looked after. Going forward the Council require a Provider(s) who will deliver a Short Term Pet Care Management Service to those individuals who are being cared for away from home on behalf of the Council.
A Framework Agreement will be established for an initial 2 year period with an option to extend the period for up to an additional 2 years in 12 monthly increments subject to review.
