2013/391/MY/AMRC/18 Composite Kit Cutting Conveyorised Bed Machine

The University of Sheffield wishes to invite tenders for a Composite Kit Cutting Conveyorised Bed Machine on behalf of the Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre, Composite Machining Group at Catcliffe, South Yorkshire.

Scope of Requirement

The AMRC Composite Centre is looking to procure a composite kit cutting machine for the cutting of flat patterns from both dry and pre-preg composite materials. The machine shall be of the general "conveyorised vacuum bed" type, using a combination of drag knives or driven tools to allow the cutting of various composite materials.

The machine is not required to be capable of cutting honeycomb core.
The machine will primarily be used for research and development activity supporting industrial applications ranging from Technology Readiness Level (TRL) 1 - 6. Application sectors will likely be, but are not limited to, aerospace, automotive, medical and marine.
