Description
Tees Valley Combined Authority (TVCA) is intending to go out to tender for a service provider(s) to support the management of a Grant Applications Scheme for Tees Valley businesses.
The intention is to advertise this offer as three separate Lots and bidders can bid for individual or all lots. It is envisaged the Lots will be:
Lot 1 - Tees Valley Business Growth Fund
The fund will provide an amalgam of capital grants and revenue based funding for services to existing businesses designed to contribute towards the cost of removing their barriers to growth and thus taking advantage of opportunities.
The TVBGF has a value of c £14m which includes not only funds for grants to businesses but also the initial and ongoing costs of establishing and running the service. It is envisaged that the fund will offer grants of up to £50,000 in support of eligible projects with an aid intensity of 40%.
Lot 2 - Tees Valley Business Fund
The fund will provide an amalgam of capital grants and revenue grants for services to existing businesses designed to contribute towards the cost of removing their barriers to growth and thus taking advantage of opportunities.
The TVBF has a value of c £20m which includes not only funds for grants and loans to businesses, but also the initial and ongoing costs of establishing and running the service. It is envisaged that the fund will offer tiered grants in support of eligible projects.
The relevant tiers are:
Grants of up to £15,000, between £15,000 and £50,000 and grants over £50,000
Lot 3 - SME Energy Efficiency Grant Scheme
A £500,000 scheme which does not include administration costs. This scheme will provide capital grants to businesses to improve energy use with an aid intensity of 45%.
AMENDED INFORMATION
In light of the current situation with Covid 19, TVCA will not now be holding a market engagement event in the Tees Valley or virtually due to potential technical difficulties. They will however build a reasonable time into the tender process for clarification queries to be raised, which along with the responses will be shared with all potential bidders, unless the nature of the query is classed as commercially sensitive.
