The Authority is proposing to fund the boat lift using a grant from the UK Seafood Infrastructure Fund. The UK Seafood Infrastructure Fund: Round 3 opened on 14 December 2023 to applications to improve port infrastructure for the commercial catching sector. Round 3 is open for applications until midday on 13 December 2024, or until all funding has been allocated - whichever happens first. Defra will allocate funding on a first come first served basis to applicants who meet the criteria.
It is anticipated that following submission, the grant body will take approximately 12 weeks to make a decision on the funding however this is subject to change and may impact the start date of the contract.
Please note that award of this contract is subject to securing grant funding and if unsuccessful the Authority will abandon this procurement at this time.
