Description

Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council (RMBC) are inviting bids from a number of organisations who might be able to provide Services that meet RMBC's current needs for the provision of Supported Living Schemes. Cranworth Close is a long term service for people with learning disabilities who require 24 hour social care support in their own home. It provides residential and nursing care and consists of four separate houses, with a central administrative and facilities building. Staffing is currently provided by RDASH. The Learning Disability Service in Rotherham has been served notice on the service and after assessment of the needs of the residents; bids are invited by Rotherham Council for a range of supported living schemes. The provider/providers will supply support services that meet the individual needs of 7 people with learning difficulties living in a range of properties within the Rotherham area. (N.B the sourcing of appropriate properties is required as part of this tender process). The specification requires the provider to support the individuals to lead as independent a life as possible in a person centred way, including personal care, social and emotional care, undertaking meaningful daytime activities, relationship building and tenancy support. The service will need to be high quality and provide value for money, to meet the changing demands of the people living there. Housing will be high quality and the support will promote people's independence and wellbeing and will offer dignity and privacy. The support will be personalised, flexible and meets people's individual needs .Social inclusion will be promoted throughout all aspects of service delivery. The proposal is to enable the current residents to make a smooth transition to alternative service provision whilst taking account of our statutory duty to deliver comprehensive and efficient services that are fit for purpose. The new provider will be expected to maintain the current level of service standard and make improvements where possible. The current provider of this service considers that the European Community Acquired Rights Directive (77/187/EEC, as amended by Directive 98/50EC and consolidated in Directive 2001/23/EC) and the Transfer of Undertakings (Protection of Employment) Regulations 2006" as amended by the "Collective Redundancies and Transfer of Undertakings (Protection of Employment) (Amendment) Regulations 2014 apply to the contract.
