Description

The International Advanced Manufacturing Park (IAMP) is a joint venture between Sunderland and South Tyneside Councils incorporated as IAMP LLP). The IAMP development will be located in the area north of Nissan UK's Sunderland car plant close to the A19.
We have a shared ambition to develop a high quality strategic employment site for the Nissan supply chain and other advanced manufacturing that will be an attractive location for national and international business investment and job creation.
A key part of accelerating economic growth is creating the conditions for private sector investment - supporting the ability of companies to trade on a national and international basis, ensuring the mobility and supply of local labour and a local supply chain and making suitable land and buildings available.
The IAMP aims to expand upon the existing North East automotive manufacturing hub and will continue the strong local track record as a location for high quality, adaptable manufacturing.
This project includes the development of £75 million of publically funded infrastructure, supporting a predicted £300 million in private sector investment and the creation of over 5,200 new jobs by 2026/27.
