Description

An awareness programme to raise awareness of the risks posed by button batteries to children among parents and practitioners who support them in their local communities.
The proposed programme of work is as follows:

• Raise awareness of the risks posed by button batteries to children among parents and the practitioners who support them in their local communities
• Encourage parents to choose batteries and products with safety in mind
• Support parents to make their homes safer with regard to button batteries
• Advise parents what to do in an emergency (if they think their child has swallowed a button battery).
