Description
The provisions of a veterinary service to undertake checks on relevant products of animal origin from non EU countries in accordance with European Directive 97/78/EC and associated legislation, decisions and guidance implemented into domestic regulations or directly applicable within the UK. legislation. It is vital that all such checks described within the legislation are carried out in accordance with that legislation to ensure that imported products comply with the import requirements to ensure that animal and public health related diseases are not imported into the European Union via Southampton Ports.

Applicants will be required to apply via "Supply Southampton" website which can be accessed via, http://www.southampton.gov.uk/business-licensing/supply-council/supply-portal.aspx where you can register your details and access documentation. All documentation including questionnaires must be completed and submitted by no later than the time/date indicated. The Council undertakes to use reasonable endeavours to hold confidential any information provided in the proposal submitted, subject to the Council's obligations under law, including the Freedom of Information Act 2000.
