Description

Stockton & Darlington Railway 200 Festival (S&DR200), c/o Stockton Council, will manage and produce a co-created set of murals co-funded by Historic England and Railway Heritage Trust as part of their public programme for the Railway 200 celebrations in 2025. Historic England and Railway Heritage Trust will co-fund 3-4 new murals, co-created with local communities. S&DR200 will oversee, manage and produce the programme, ensuring each mural is co-created and complies with Planning permissions.

Outputs:
• HE sponsors 3 new murals along the 26-mile route from Stockton to Shildon.
• An artist and community group collaborate in each site to co-create new murals exploring heritage of place.
• National press moment managed by SD&R200 for unveilings
• Accompanying digital interpretation on S&DR200 website and app
• Small SD&R200 plaque recognising HE at mural sites organised by SD&R200
