Description

Surrey County Council ('The Council') is issuing this RFQ in relation to the provision of a bespoke and independent public engagement service for those in Surrey who may be affected by substance use. This includes people with lived experience, their families and networks, individuals impacted by the effect of substance use through their communities and those that have been the victims of drug-related crime. We are particularly keen to engage with people with lived experience who choose not to engage with our treatment services.

We anticipate that engagement with the public will be conducted through 1-1 opportunities and targeted focus groups, and the service provider will be steered by Surrey's newly established Combating Drugs Partnership as to the focus of the engagement. The service provider will be expected to report back to the Partnership on a regular basis. There will also be the expectation that the service provider will ensure participants are provided with appropriate support in relation to their engagement and that they will engage with existing local networks providing public participation, such as Healthwatch and The Council's User Voice and Participation Team.
