Description

Surrey County Council is redesigning the Surrey Online School service. Our vision is to provide an education service and IT platform for children who are unable to attend mainstream school. The Surrey Online School will offer education to students between the ages of 5 -18. It will work in partnership with the Council and schools in Surrey to deliver a truly flexible product that enhances our current face to face offer to provide an effective blended approach that meets the wide range of needs of schools, service and students within the alternative provision sector.

We are holding a Service Specification Consultation Event and invite attendance from service delivery experts who will be able to comment and provide professional expert guidance on the draft service specification and delivery.

The event is to be held on Monday 20th February 2017 at 10:00am at Quadrant Court, 35 Guildford Road, Woking, Surrey, GU22 7QQ.

This event is to look at the service specification only, and any procurement process will not be discussed at this event.

Although the Council are undertaking this consultation and value contributions from interested organisations and individuals, the Council reserve all rights to issue a specification as they deem appropriate.

Potential providers / Providers wishing to attend the Service Specification Consultation Event should express an interest in this project and then send a message via the portal by 16:00 on Thursday 9th February 2017, with the following details:

Name of attendee(s)
Job title of attendee(s)
Organisation details, including address and contact details

Please note that attendance will be limited to a maximum of 2 attendees per organisation at this stage. An agenda and current draft specification has been attached to this project for Providers to review prior to the event. In the event that you are unable to attend but would like to receive a copy of any presentation materials, please send an message via the portal and copies will be sent to you.

Please note the issuance of this Contracts Finder Notice and the holding of the Specification Event does not commit the Council to the commencement of any formal tender process. An expression of interest to attend this service specification consultation event is no indication of a commitment to participate in any future tender process nor does it infer any special status on those Providers who do attend. An expression of interest in this event will not automatically entitle involvement in any future procurement exercise. Any procurement conducted as a result of this event will be advertised separately in Contracts Finder and OJEU. All organisations wishing to participate in the process will need to respond to the procurement advertisement as and when it is published.
