Description

The Future Cities Catapult is a technology and innovation centre set up by Government to advance innovation, to grow UK companies to make cities better.

We are seeking a provider to generate quarterly reporting on trends, issues and opportunities in UK cities to inform internal business planning (including our Relationship Development strategy, events programme and research efforts), to resource priority external stakeholders (eg. HMG) and to support knowledge sharing / market creation.

Knowing what UK cities are doing, thinking and concerned about in relation to urban innovation is vital to informing Future Cities Catapult's opportunity development, expert analysis and stakeholder engagement activities. However, at present, neither we, nor HM Govt or the wider cities sector have a regular, coordinated view of such trends, issues and emerging opportunities. To maintain our position at the cutting edge of urban innovation, we are seeking to grow our knowledge of the innovative projects, research and policy ideas taking place across the UK cities.

The successful supplier will be generating of quarterly reports presenting key trends, emerging issues and developments in UK cities (principally, but not exclusively local authorities) related to urban innovation / the advanced urban services sector. Content is to be gathered by a mixture of desk research, scanning of published materials and light-touch stakeholder surveying.
