This is a Market Engagement Exercise and not a call for competition On

The Council is currently reviewing its Carers Link Service in Tower Hamlet and Commissioners would like meet stakeholders for a market Telling session and also gather information where appropriate. This process is not a formal tender or other competitive process and will not result in the award of a contract.
Tower Hamlets Council, on behalf of Tower Hamlets Together, is seeking to procure two services :
1. Unpaid Carers Service : This supports adult unpaid carers in Tower Hamlets. These services will help the council meet its requirements under the Care Act 2004 through the provision of information, advice and advocacy and undertaking carer's assessments. The Unpaid Carers' Service will also provider tailored training opportunities and a range of wellbeing activities for carers.
2. Emergency Carers Service : The Emergency Carers Service will support carers who are experiencing, or are at risk of developing, a crisis situation.
Data from 2022/23 indicates that the Carer's Link service:
• Supported a total of 1,550 unpaid carers, including 502 not previously known to the service (or who had not accessed the service in the previous two years)
• Conducted 437 carers assessments.
• Supported 1,444 carers with information, advice and practical support.
• Delivered 304 well being activities including massage, overnights retreats, courses, peer group support etc.
• 877 instances of supporting carers with financial information and advice
• Supported 82 carers with training, education, and employment opportunities.
• Provided advocacy support to 71 unpaid carers.
