Description
Barking & Dagenham, Havering and Redbridge Clinical Commissioning Group (BHR CCGs) are seeking to commission 20 beds across 1 to 2 Nursing Homes within the BHR Boroughs as part of an innovative winter project to provide nursing facilities to patients who then receive in-reach rehabilitation services (Physio and OT) for up to 21 days. This will be a collaborative approach between the home and the North East London Foundation Trust (Community Health Services). The scheme will look to start in December and be in place until mid-April 2021.The purchasing of the beds would be on a block basis for the designated period.
The prospective care home provider will need to:
- Currently operate nursing home(s) within 1 or more of the following boroughs;
o Barking & Dagenham,
o Havering and
o Redbridge
- Have a CQC rating of 'Outstanding' or 'Good' from their most recent CQC inspection
- Able to confirm and assure the CCG that there are no ongoing safeguarding or CQC investigations regarding services within any of the home(s) operated by the organisation
- Able to confirm there are no suspensions or embargoes on your home from either CQC or the local authority.
- Able to confirm your organisation is fully compliant with Data Security and Protection Toolkit (DSPT) requirements.
- Able to confirm how many beds within the BHR Boroughs your organisation would be willing to allocate solely for BHR CCG's Winter Facility to Support Discharge Service. These beds will be required until 31st March 2021.
- Work with NELFT in regard to the 'wrap around' services - Occupational Therapy (OT) and Speech and Language Therapy (SALT) that will support the Winter Facility to Support Discharge Service
A Guaranteed minimum value contract will be offered to successful organisations. The price will be set at £903 per bed per week (excl VAT) plus a premium (based on the specialist nature) for the sole allocation of the beds for the provision of BHR CCGs' Winter Facility to Support Discharge and Rehab Service.
