Description
Medway Council the Contracting Authority, are seeking to appoint a suitably qualified consultant to provide support in the management of Heating Servicing and Installations to the Councils domestic rented and sheltered accommodation and is to be responsible for ensuring that the assigned operational delivery Service Provider(s) operate within current legislation. This is to ensure the client has fulfilled their legal and ethical obligations as a Landlord. The scope of works covers, but is not exclusive to, the following heating systems;
• Domestic, Communal and Commercial Gas
• Domestic, Communal and Commercial Oil
• Electric Heating
• Solid Fuel
• Renewables
The provision of safe homes is one of the key tasks facing social Landlords in delivering housing management services to residents. A non-compliant property could potentially be unsafe and open a Landlord to legal challenge.
The appointed consultant will be expected to be a proactive member of the team managing the services.
