Description

I. Design a single transparent, evidence based, rigorous pass / fail process for social workers to achieve Approved Child and Family Practitioner (ACFP) status against the published knowledge and skills statement.
II. Develop a knowledge and skills statement for Practice Supervision, and knowledge and skills statement for Practice Leadership.
III. Design a single transparent, evidence based, rigorous pass / fail process to achieve practice supervision status, and a single transparent, evidence based, rigorous pass / fail process to achieve practice leadership status.
IV. Critically review how direct observation methods can be used to assess and accredit the three social work statuses, alongside a digital solution, and make recommendations for future development - working through an independent expert, and collaborating with a range of other organisations which have experience with practice observation.
V. Devise processes to test the ACFP assessment with social workers undertaking ASYE (Assessed and Supported Year in Employment) and more experienced social workers at different grades in a range of settings.
VI. Devise processes to test the Practice Supervision, and Practice Leadership assessments with social workers who hold a range of leadership, supervisory, and practice education and development responsibilities in a range of settings.
