Description
The Council wishes to seek organisations for the provision of Route to Net Zero Circular Economy. This will be commissioned across Birmingham and Solihull and will aim to deliver outcomes to support the Council's Route2Zero strategy and sustainability strategies with a focus on industrial symbiosis. The project will aim to:
o build understanding/insight into the Council's maturity on net zero/climate change, develop resources and capability/ knowledge specifically in relation to supply chain measurement and reporting practices, market insights and best practice in supply chain and develop a programme of engagement and knowledge sharing to support supply chain net zero readiness,
o ensuring referrals into UKSPF and other business support programmes and grants,
o the programme will identify near, medium- and long-term actions to build relations and support growing maturity of supply chain readiness,
o aim for delivery of near-term programme of engagement activities which may include workshops and knowledge sharing events with other local and regional SME support networks
The contract will be awarded to one supplier, commencing January 2024 for a period of 15 months (ending 31st March 2025).
This project is funded by the UK government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF).
