Description

The successful Supplier will be required to provide catering services at Horton Grange and Farnham Primary Schools.

Horton Grange and Farnham Primary Schools welcome students of all faiths and backgrounds. They are committed to developing a community of mutual respect where personal qualities are highly valued and each student has the opportunity to reach their absolute potential.

Further information on the two schools is provided in the SQ Document.

The two schools share one large separate dining area that serves the joint population of the two schools - in the region of 1 250 pupils. There are 5 service points for pupils and a separate dining room for adults, all prepared in a good-sized kitchen with plenty of space. Halal certified (Halal Monitoring Committee) meat is required to be served.

The Client is looking for a Supplier who will be their partner within a vibrant competitive market. The catering service is currently run in-house by Farnham Primary School on behalf of both schools.

Any Supplier wishing to be considered for this contract must be able to demonstrate experience and depth of knowledge in the management and handling of TUPE issues.

The contract will commence on 19.10.2018 for a period of three years, with an option to extend on a 1 + 1 basis. The value of the contract is estimated to be 1 400 000 GBP.

This contract as a minimum will be nil cost in nature with the successful Supplier developing the team and market to move forward. Investment is not actively sought, but may be required to enhance and further the service, should the bidder think it requires it.

A suitably experienced Supplier is sought, who has current experience of working within the primary and secondary school market place, ideally with a strong operational base within the North of England, thus allowing for responsive, contract support and management of catering staff.

The successful Supplier will be required to formally report each month on catering standard performance and operational matters, ensuring the senior management team of the schools is fully informed about all issues related to delivery of the catering service.

The Contracting Authority will consider variant bids, evaluating them (so far as the variant or the evaluation ofthe variant is in the opinion of the Contracting Authority practicable) on the same basis as a conforming bid, but shall not be obliged to accept any such bid in preference to a conforming bid even if the variant bid scores more highly. No variant will be considered unless the bidder simultaneously submits a conforming bid.
