Description

The Trust is seeking an Occupational Health Consultant- please read the description provided below.

The Occupational Health Consultant will work closely with a cross site Clinical Lead Nurse (CLN), who is an experienced (band 8) qualified nurse. The CLN will support the consultant and manage the day to day activities of the department, whilst taking a small clinical case load.

The successful consultant will:

• Work cross site between Frimley and Wexham Park Hospitals and be the Trust's clinical expert in occupational health medicine and practice.

• Provide professional clinical leadership and support to the Trust's Occupational Health Departments at Frimley and Wexham Park Hospitals.

• Ensure that there is an effective on site specialist Occupational Health Service available for all Trust staff.

• Provide clinical expert guidance on a small number of private occupational health contracts.

• Assist with the development and adherence to occupational health and wellbeing policies.

• Advice/assist with clinics providing advice on work-related health issues.

• Provide guidance to the Clinical Lead Nurse and assist with the progression of the department's application for accreditation under SEQHOS.

5 sessions per week are required, this may be worked flexibly depending upon case load but will usually be one day at Frimley and one day at Wexham with an additional half day located in either hospital.

Morning sessions usually commence at 08.30 or 09.00 hrs and afternoon sessions usually commence at 13.00hrs. Both sessions will be for a minimum duration of three and a half hours
