Description

The aim of the Sheffield's Working Programme is to increase the number of Sheffield's residents facing the greatest barriers, especially those with disabilities and long-term health conditions (including mental health), moving into the right sort of work with fair terms and conditions, staying in work and progressing with their careers Through enabling residents to move into work, we hope to have a lasting impact by: Increasing the number of Sheffield's residents in work and reducing the numbers reliant on out-of-work benefits Increasing the skills levels of Sheffield's workforce Reducing the churn within the labour market and number of people returning to out-of-work benefits Diversify the workforce and support the inclusive economic growth agenda Increasing the economic performance of Sheffield's businesses
