Description

The stray current collection system for Supertram incorporates two measures to try and reduce the effects of current leaking from the rails, these two measures are:-
• Earth drainage diodes at the substations, creating a directional connection between the substation earth mat and the negative busbar
• Stray current collection system with associated drainage diodes.

As a result of work looking at the renewal of the Supertram system SYPTE request consultancy advice in order to understand the work required to float the Supertram system in order that the system meets current best practice in relation to the management of stray current.
