Description

Tenders are invited for the supply of a Website Content Management System (CMS). As the current CMS is used to manage both the Council's intranet and externally facing websites, the intention is to procure a solution that will be hosted within the Council's own network. The CMS must support and enable the web development team to react rapidly to urgent template design change requirement and to create, build and deploy new websites (including micro-sites) within tight timescales. The system must provide a devolved, but controlled (through systems administration functionality), content authorship and approval workflow model.

The Council has a web development team that designs, builds and supports a number of websites, including seven managed by the corporate CMS. The contract for the existing CMS at the Council will expire on 31/08/2017.

The initial contract period is three (3) years; the contract is estimated to commence 01/08/2017 and expire 31/07/2020. There will be options to extend the contract for up to a further two (2) years in annual increments, subject to satisfactory performance and business needs. The maximum contract period is therefore five (5) years.

Please note, suppliers wishing to express interest and obtain the documentation, must do so by 14:00 on 10/07/2017. It is recommended that you express interest and obtain the documentation well before this time to allow sufficient time to prepare and submit a comprehensive response. The deadline for returns is 14:00 on 11/07/2017. Use the Councils e-tendering system https://www.eastmidstenders.org where you can express interest and obtain the documents. Please note we will only accept expressions of interest through the e-tendering system.
