Description

Unite Procurement UK Limited (part of Unite Holding SE), on behalf of the UK Ministry of Defence (MoD), invites qualified suppliers to join the Unite Procurement Platform to support the provision of the following items. This onboarding will establish a flexible, competitive supply base for low-value, high-volume procurement.

The Unite Procurement Platform (Unite | Simplify indirect procurement with our smarter platform) provides a compliant route to market for UK Public Sector organisations to source approved products efficiently and transparently.

Scope of Supply
• Item: NVG-compatible finger torches
• Quantity: 1,425 units
• Use case: Field operations requiring hands-free, low-signature illumination

Security and Sourcing
Given operational sensitivities and supply chain assurance, priority will be afforded to UK-based suppliers and manufacturers to maintain supply chain integrity and reduce dependency on overseas sources. Non-UK suppliers may be considered where risk and assurance requirements are fully met.

Background
NVG finger torches are critical for discrete, task-level illumination in contested and training environments. Suppliers should demonstrate experience supplying defence, blue light, or similarly regulated sectors, with proven capability in quality management, traceability, and ongoing product support.

How to Apply
Interested suppliers should contact Unite Procurement UK Limited to register interest and provide:
• Company profile and certifications (e.g., ISO 9001), product conformity (CE/UKCA where applicable)
• Product specifications confirming NVG compatibility, mounting method, modes, runtime, power, IP rating, and materials
• Evidence of prior defence or regulated-sector supply
• Delivery plan for 1,425 units, including lead times, production capacity, and logistics to UK destinations
• Warranty terms, returns handling, and maintenance/repair options (if applicable)
• Pricing proposal, including any volume breaks and spares/accessory options

Further details on Unite onboarding will be provided upon expression of interest and can also be found at www.mercateo.co.uk.
Multi-Supplier Approach
Unite Procurement UK Limited does not intend to appoint a sole supplier. Multiple suppliers may be onboarded to ensure competition, resilience, and choice for the MoD and associated organisations.
Timelines
Suppliers are encouraged to express their interest by the stated closing date for early consideration. Applications to join the Unite Procurement Platform are welcomed on a rolling basis thereafter. Unite Procurement UK Limited reserves the right to review and onboard suppliers continuously to meet evolving requirements.
