Description

Opportunity Areas seek to improve social mobility by addressing the barriers faced by many disadvantaged children and children and young people and increasing the opportunities available to help them achieve their potential. In doing this it is important that we create a dialogue with children and children and young people to build our understanding of what issues concern them and how they think they should be addressed. This specification is aimed at supporting and enhancing the work already happening in schools, colleges and elsewhere at building on existing good practice extending it to introduce the concept of Youth Ambassadors with a city -wide remit.
