Description
Centrepoint is the UK's leading charity for homeless young people. We support over 10,000 16-25 year olds into housing and employment every year. Working directly in London, Yorkshire and the North East of England, Centrepoint also partners with other organisations across the UK and gives homeless young people a voice through the Centrepoint Parliament. We conduct research and influence government policy with the overall aim of ending youth homelessness.
Centrepoint provides supported accommodation to young people in a variety of services; many of which include 24-hour and weekend provision. The supplier will be expected to provide locum support for short falls in shifts due to staff sickness or because additional staff are required due to incidents in the service. The supplier may also be required to provide more long term staffing due to new roles being created, staff vacancies or short-term contracts.
Due to the number of regions that Centrepoint now operate in there is the need for a consistent supplier to be responsible for the provision of locum workers in each of the following 4 geographical lots;
- Greater London
- Yorkshire (Bradford and Barnsley)
- Lancashire (Manchester)
- North East (Sunderland)
The locum provision will include emergency cover at short notice and planned longer-term cover in services. The tender is for frontline services, however, there are additional parts of the organisation that occasionally require agency workers. They may also approach the successful bidder if they have a need and feel they may be able to support them.
