Description

The lease of 800 devices (whether Microsoft Surface Laptops and/or Surface Pros) including accessories and warranties with an option to lease a further additional 100 devices (whether Microsoft Surface Laptops and/or Surface Pros) in the first year. The Information Commissioner requires Microsoft Laptops and/or Surface Pros as it will be relying on the Microsoft Managed Device (MMD) solution to manage these devices during the term of this lease agreement and these are part of a very limited number of devices which are compatible with the MMD solution at present.
Each device (whether Microsoft Surface Laptop or Surface Pro) will need to be registered with the MMD solution, within the Information Commissioner's Microsoft Tenant area, prior to delivery. In order to enable registration the Tenderer (or one of its sub-contractors) need to be a certified Microsoft Partner with a Microsoft Partner Network ID.
Each device will be leased for up to a period of 3 years from the date of delivery and the Information Commissioner requires that the date of delivery also trigger the start of warranty in relation to each device.
The Information Commissioner requires a phased roll out of devices over a period of 8 months at the start of the term. In preparation for exit, the phased collection of devices over a period of 8 months is also required(and collection is to be undertaken in such a way that no device is in use for more than 3 years). Each device that is collected, whether during the term (due to a fault) or on exit must be securely wiped and disposed of in accordance with the Information Commissioner's requirements.

The provider is require to maintain a valid certification to the UK Cyber Essentials scheme, or equivalent, and/or the ISO 27001 standard. The provider is also required to be a Microsoft Partner with a Microsoft Partner Network ID for the purposes of
registering devices.
