Description

Brighton & Hove City Council Housing and New Homes Committee approval was gained in January 2017 to procure a new framework agreement for the provision of housing adaptations for disabled people in council properties and private sector dwellings.

The intention is for the proposed framework agreement to:
o Deliver value for money through a competitively procured schedule of rates, with scope for good economies of scale;
o Provide six specialist adaptations contractors to allow for a responsive service with good capacity;
o Ensure consistency and continuity over the term of the agreement;
o Allow for contractors to be assessed on quality as well as cost to ensure a
o high standard of work and customer service; and
o Ensure delivery of housing adaptations in the shortest possible time, avoiding lengthy individual tenders.
