Description
The Old Market Street Footbridge Demolition contract comprises of the demolition and removal of an existing 6 span pedestrian footbridge and adjoining escalator buildings.
The works will include the following:-
a) Site set up
b) Establishment and maintenance of pedestrian and traffic management including signing and guarding to pedestrian and traffic diversion routes
c) Demolition of the existing footbridge which comprises 6 spans
d) Demolition of existing footbridge support columns (10nr)
e) Making good to the Marriott Hotel boundary wall
f) Removal of asbestos from the escalator buildings
g) Removal of escalators and all other internal features
h) Demolition of the escalator buildings (2nr) and external staircases
i) Disposal of all arising offsite
j) Backfilling of the escalator pits
k) Reinstatement of footpaths
