Description
The aim of the Phase 1 Workstream: Technical Competence is to build internal knowledge and expertise to successfully design and deliver Local Net Zero Asset Portfolios through the development of decarbonisation strategies and delivery mechanisms specific to specific assets. This includes economic and appraisal skills to model and understand low carbon measures and impacts, commercial and finance expertise to develop business models attractive to both the public and private sector. For CCC this means a professional carbon focused technical understanding to identify how to, using a localised approach relevant to the County of Cambridgeshire's make up and needs, decarbonise CCC activities.
The initial focus of Phase 1 will be on construction (buildings and highways, incl. schools), waste, transportation, fleet, and land (rural estates, closed landfills, highway verge, etc.) and includes retrofitting and new build.
The Council is proposing to run one procurement process for this requirement with 5 lots with suppliers able to bid for individual lots or for all 5 lots.
