Description

Nottingham North & East, Nottingham West and Rushcliffe CCGs invite tenders for the procurement of Community Pain and Integrated Dietetics Outpatients Services.

The services will be delivered across the populations of the CCG.

The procurement is split into 3 lots:
Lot 1 - Community Pain Services - Nottingham North & East and Rushcliffe CCGs (including Administration Services)

Lot 2 - Community Pain Services - Nottingham West CCG (excluding Administration services)

Lot 3 - Integrated Dietetics Outpatient Services - Nottingham North & East, Nottingham West and Rushcliffe CCGs.

Community Pain Services
The Community Pain Service is required to meet and deliver high quality care to patients in a variety of appropriate community settings. The service will provide a multi-disciplinary interface service between primary care, other community services and secondary care.
Pain management services may be located in the community, specialist care hospitals or in specialised pain management units, and need to work seamlessly as if in a single unit in order to provide an integrated management plan with the patient.

Dietetics Outpatients
As a nation, we are living longer and we are also accessing the NHS for longer. For many, they are also living for longer with long-term conditions. Many long term conditions are associated with poor nutritional status due to a combination of poor appetite, symptoms affecting nutritional intake, malabsorption, and increasing nutritional requirements.
Evidence shows that improving nutrition, with support from a dietitian, can help to prevent health problems, improve functional status, and increase quality of life and wellbeing for people living with long-term conditions, in addition to providing cost savings to the NHS.

Providers are expected to obtain their own premises suitable for the delivery of services. CCGs do have NHS estate in the CCG localities, and the preference would be to use existing CCG estates. We would be happy to share relevant contact details of the property services providers. Any licences will be between the incoming provider and property services, and the cost will be the providers responsibility.

Tenders or requests to participate must be submitted electronically via https://in-tendhost.co.uk/scwcsu/aspx/Home

The procurement documents are available for unrestricted and full direct access, free of charge, at: https://in-tendhost.co.uk/scwcsu/aspx/Home

Additional text

Nottingham West, North & East and Rushcliffe CCGs have made the decision to suspend 'Lot 3 - Integrated Community Dietetics' from the Pain Management and Dietetics Services Procurement until a later date in 2017.

Due to internal scrutiny, it has become apparent that further work is required around the activity assumptions. The CCGs wish to ensure that their modelling is as robust as possible, in order to be open and transparent about the service your organisation would be bidding for.

The CCGs have therefore taken the decision to move Lot 3 to a different procurement timeline, to be reviewed at a later stage in the year. The CCG expect to inform providers of the next steps by the end of April 2017.

This means that no submissions against Lot 3 will be considered as part of this procurement, for this timeline. All the elements for Lots 1 & 2 will remain the same.
