Description
Wildlife ways has been a 3 year project for Solihull Council and funded by various sources including the ERDF (European Regional Development Fund , the National Productivity Investment Fund , the Local Transport Plan and the West Midlands Combined Authority, to improve the wildlife value and biodiversity of our open spaces and grass verges and connect these areas together by improving interconnecting footways. This benefits wildlife and our enjoyment of green spaces, which consequently promotes physical and mental well-being, and will promote active travel across Solihull. The green spaces identified in this project are comprised of large areas of public open space and have been wildflower seeded in 2019, followed by maintenance until summer 2020.
