Description
Appointeeship and Deputyship Service - Expression of Interest
Nene & Corby Clinical Commissioning Groups are looking for expressions of interest from suitably qualified organisations for this potential opportunity to provide a high quality Appointee / Deputyship service to a small number of individuals with a learning disability in Northamptonshire.
Adults with a learning disability, including individuals with behaviour that can challenge others, have the right to be supported to live in their own home, in their local community, in the least restrictive environment possible and with high quality person centered support as required. The Appointeeship/Deputyship Service is an integral part of offering ordinary living opportunities to individuals with a learning disability funded by the CCGs. The Service will be utilised in those circumstances where an individual does not have the capacity to sign a tenancy agreement and/or manage their financial affairs and where there is no current suitable deputy/appointee in place.
Organisations will need to have experience of delivering a similar service and have access to experienced staff who understand the legal and mandatory systems surrounding deputyship and appointeeship requirements including timescales for referral to the service, criteria, and costs involved, and describe to staff the processes and procedures for making a referral to the service and what this will entail.
Organisations should submit their Expression of Interest by 5.00pm on Wednesday 5th December 2018 to nelcsu.procurementnorthants@nhs.net
