Description

Provision to develop innovative solutions to the following; but not limited to:
• Solar PV - We are looking to appoint a partner who will identify the potential for increasing renewable technology across the Council and commission the project.
• Low carbon district heating - To reduce the carbon impact of the Council's assets, the Council has the ambition to develop a district heating network with a potential to connect existing buildings. We are looking for a partner that with proven experience to upgrade the council assets to a connection ready state and lead the connection delivery.
• Heat pumps - To reduce the carbon impact of the Councils' assets, the Council has the ambition to identify potential buildings that consist good candidates to install ground source or air source heat pump technologies. The aim is to move towards the increasingly lower carbon electricity as a source of energy (e.g. via heat pumps) rather than gas and thereby increasing the use of a lower carbon energy source. We are looking for a partner that with proven experience to upgrade the council assets to a connection ready state and lead the connection delivery.
• Smart buildings have been identified and acknowledged as key enablers of future energy systems for which there will be a larger share of renewables, distributed power and heat generation, and demand-side flexibility to match demand to supply and make best use of existing network connection and local generation capacity. Our partner will be expected to scope and implement measures to incorporate flexibility into the project
