Description

The London Borough of Hounslow requires an experienced Public Sector consultant to set out the business case for both the sustainability and potential expansion of Hounslow's delivery of DFN Project SEARCH with a clear 18 month to 2-year business plan.
In order to build and sustain a robust Project SEARCH offer, we need to understand future demand for the programme, the barriers and solutions to access, as well how we might best work with local Employers going forward to build sustainable employer engagement that enhances the offer of work experience, internships and employment pathways for young people. In developing the business case the consultant will need to:
• Set out a clear strategy for supported internship places to be maximised for and by Hounslow residents
• Develop a clear communication and engagement plan for young people with SEND and their families that raises awareness of Project SEARCH as a pathway into employment as a key element of Preparing for Adulthood (PfA)
• Recommend/set out how new opportunities available through "Internships Work" (a collaboration being launched between DFN Project SEARCH, British Association of Supported Employment and the National Development Team for Inclusion) could build and sustain Employer engagement in the programme
