Description

Birmingham City Council provides a range of accredited and non-accredited programmes to adult learners from entry level to Level 3 through Birmingham Adult Education Service (BAES).
We anticipate having up to 3,500 individual learners on Adult Skills programmes in the academic year 2022/23.

As a publicly funded provider, we are required to track the learning and progress of our learners and as a dispersed organisation, wish to do this via an online system.

The Council requires a supplier to provide the following for Birmingham Adult Education Service: -

An online learner progress tracking system which: -

1. Is web-based and mobile device compatible
2. Is compatible with our MIS system, ProSolution
3. Has the functionality to track all aspects of the learner journey
4. Is easily and quickly configurable by non-MIS specialists and has useful inbuilt reporting which does not need to be configured by MIS specialists.
5. Is user-friendly for staff and learners
6. Is accompanied by high-quality training from experts in the product
7. Is accompanied by responsive, knowledgeable and effective IT support to resolve issues
8. Is developed to meet the needs of customers

We are seeking an Online Learner Progress Tracking system which needs to be installed in June 2022, with configuration training in late June 2022, user training in the last week of August/first week of September 2022 and ready to go live on 1st September 2022.
The Council will be using its free to use e-tendering system (in-tend) for the administration of this procurement process and potential suppliers must register with the system to be able to express an interest.
