Description
The Independent Commission for Aid Impact (ICAI) is an advisory non-departmental public body (NDPB). ICAI was established in May 2011 to scrutinise the impact and value for money of all UK Government Overseas Development Assistance (ODA). Its work contributes to the Secretary of State's statutory obligations to make arrangements for independent scrutiny of UK Aid and is set out in the UK Aid Strategy.
The contract will require the supplier to scope, gather evidence, analyse and compile thematic scrutiny reports on strategic issues facing the UK development programme whilst providing direct support to the ICAI Commissioners and Secretariat. As a scrutiny body, maintaining ICAI's independence is crucial. The supplier will need to manage and mitigate any actual or perceived conflicts of interests in a robust and effective manner.
Key Deliverables will be individual reports scrutinising the effectiveness of UK ODA spend across a range of areas.
